"Night of the Hunter" is from their new album, "This is War", which I haven't listened to yet but I do like this song in particular. I own their last album but it was a little repetitive to me, all the songs sounded the same, so I'm curious to see how their new effort holds up.

I love the beginning of this song, it's a slow pulsating and pounding opening with the echoing first line:

"I tremble"

Sung by the lead singer, a chick, Emily Haines. You know I love a chick lead singer! (Tori Amos, Paramore, Shiny Toy Guns, Gwen Stafani, etc etc) I've actually never heard of Metro before until I heard this song but I hear the whole album, Fantasies, is great!

Apparently Mark from Blink 182 is a huge fan of Metro and raves about their new album on his blog constantly.

This song has just grown on me.

Duffy - Rockferry

I first heard Duffy's song "Mercy" and I loved it so I thought I'd try her out. Rockferry is definitely soul album, she reminds me of Amy Winehouse without the rats nest. It's a great CD to turn on when you just want a relaxing night at home.

Colbie Caillat - Coco

I can't figure out if Colbie is supposed to be country music or not. Some of the songs sound kind of countryish, but others don't.

I hope she's not country because I hate country music.

But I do like her songs, the cd is full of slow melodic sweet songs. A very mellow cd, sometimes too mellow and boring at times.

But it is just so sweet anyone can't not like it.

Only thing I've listened to this whole week! It's sucks in Elko.

One Republic - Dreaming Out Loud

I didn't think I'd like this cd because their "apologize" song was getting on my nerves, but the cd is pretty good!

Franz Ferdinand - Tonight

All right I finished listening to the whole album and the verdict is....I love it!

I've never really been a big fan of Franz Ferdinand but I liked thier single Ulysses and thought I'd give them a shot. It's pretty different, it kind of has an old fashioned style to it.
